My Garlic Shrimp Recipe
In Spain,this is a favorite tapa,served sizzling hot. Good crusty bread a must for dunking in sauce. Got this recipe from a restaurant in Spain 12 years ago.

Ingredients
  • 3/4lb small shrimp in their shells
  • salt
  • 4 Tbs. olive oil
  • 4 garlic cloves,sliced
  • 1/4 tsp. crushed red pepper
  • 1 Tbs. lemon juice
  • 1 Tbs. dry white wine
  • 2 Tbs. minced parsley

Directions
  1. Shell the shrimp(not necessary to devein them). Sprinkle with salt.
  2. Heat the oil,garlic and crushed red pepper in a shallow flameproof casserole over med-high heat. When garlic is just beginning to brown,add the shrimp and cook,stirring,about 1 minute,or till just done and firm to the touch.
  3. Stir in the lemon juice,wine and parsley, Serve immediately preferably in the casserole.
  4. Also wonderful over linguine for entree. You might want a little more sauce.

I made these for dinner last night. They were outstanding!!!! On a whim I added some (2 Tbsp)feta cheese after they finished cooking and the heat was off and I just covered it for a couple of minutes while I sliced the bread. My husband loved them too! Thanks again. Great recipe Pleclare!
