The addition of browned pasta to rice seems to transform it into a true side dish. Our family rarely would fix plain white rice. If I post a recipe to be served over rice. This is the rice I am talking about.

We love this recipe! I use chicken broth in place of the water, so will have to try your version. Thank you for the reminder, I haven't made this in a while.

I love the combination of rice and orzo - and I have both at home. Great recipe, Jim - thanks again.

Thanks Jim. This sounds simple and delicious. Brown butter and nuts? That would make anything taste good wouldn't it?

I'm so glad that you stopped to take a look at the Muhammara... now I've got a whole new cache of recipes to try out!
I've been looking for something a little bit different to do with the eggplant on the salad. I'm looking forward to doing this soon! Great job, Jim!

I forgot to put the saffron in while it was cooking so I sprinkled on some turmeric at the end to yellow it up some. You can see a picture of the rice plated along with some baked stuffed eggplant and zucchini on your baked stuffed eggplant recipe page.

Sounds like a great improvement over plain rice. I will make it.
I enjoy Minnesota wild rice mixed into rice dishes such as chicken rice soup, and so on.
