Ingredients
  • 3-4 lbs Chuck or Round Steak
  • 2 jars Beef Gravy
  • 2 jars Mushroom Gravy
  • 1 can Chopped or Stewed Tomatoes
  • 1 Tbs Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1 Cup Flour
  • Salt and Pepper

Directions
  1. Cut the meat into palm sized pieces and pound them out just a little and salt & pepper them.
  2. Dredge the meat in flour and shake off excess and brown in a skillet in olive oil.
  3. Mix the gravy with worcestershire sauce in a large bowl, add tomatoes, then spoon out 1/3 of the gravy into a large baking pan and place the meat evenly in pan and cover with remaining gravy.
  4. Cover the pan with a lid or foil and bake in a pre-heated 325 degree oven for 3 hours. Remove foil or lid and bake for another 1/2 hour and let sit for 20 minutes before serving.
  5. This is even better the next day. Enjoy!

Love this because it is so easy and very tender. Grumpy hubby was not-so-grumpy when he had this for dinner! Ha! After 25 years I know what pleases his palate...thanks for the boost in brownie points. Now where is that deep dish pizza recipe? Toodles~NYM~

Leave it to you! Love the sound of it. You can make it for me when I come over. As payback I'll make your choice from my list when you come over. Great post, my dad use to make this for me, ahh nostalgia how I miss him, Mare

I think this sounds so good. I wondered what brand, if I may ask, of gravy you use? I tried one, but it had that funny "jarred" taste. (Maybe I just got hold of a bad one?) Sure would appreciate your input as I would really like to try this. I know my husband would enjoy it with mashed potatoes...his favorite:) Thank you. Diana

Now I know that your Parmesan Chicken Breast are OUT of this world & a VERY BIG hit in my house!!!! So, hopefully this will too!! :)
