This traditional Canadian dish is DELICIOUS. It is better with cheese curds but you can use regular shredded mozzarella cheese. Recipe calls for canned gravy but homemade leftover gravy is SO MUCH better.

And delicious! And fattening! Boy it's been a number of years since I've had the poutine. One thing they've not heard of down here, lol. Good post! --Kn0x--

I would skip lunch any day to have this. Reminds me of ones I had in Montreal.

Reminds me of when i was 18 at Cycling nationals in Rouyn-Noranda QC..(Team Alberta 6 of us) we were cycling along a back road and saw this sign for Poutine and burgers the place looked like a house (and was someone's house).. anyways we stopped. we were tired and hungry. didn't have much money. everyone pulled change out of the jerseys. we had enough for 3 burgers and a large plate of Poutine. everything was soooo huge and tasted sooo GOOD! we all had plenty of food! ahh the memories! I will try this recipe thx!
