Ingredients

How to make it

  • Put pine nuts in frying pan (as they are, without oil or fat or anything)
  • *They have enough of their own natural oil*
  • Stir constantly over low flame to avoid burning until golden brown
  • Remove from flame
  • Coursely chop Basil leaves, (without the stems)
  • Add to all the other ingredients
  • Mix well

    I just toasted some pinenuts tonight, exactly the way described in the recipe; dry skillet, low flame, stirring constantly. Will get some cherry tomatoes and basil so I can try this recipe next week. I love recipes like this; super-simple with a couple special ingredients, like the pinenuts and basil.
