peppermint hot chocolate

a nice peppermint hot chocolate drink great for holidays or cold weather, or any time., courtesy foodnet work.
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups heavy cream shopping list
- 1 1/2 cups milk shopping list
- 1/4 cup sugar shopping list
- 1/8 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 6 ounces bittersweet chocolate chopped shopping list
- 3 drops peppermint oil shopping list
- sweetened whipped cream, for garnish shopping list
- chocolate shavings for garnish shopping list
How to make it
- in a saucepan, combine the cream, milk,sugar,and the salt and heat over medium - low heat.
- when the cream mixture just begins to steam, add the chopped chocolate, and stir until melted.
- stir in peppermint oil, divide the hot chocolate among mugs and top with the whipped cream and chocolate shavings., add a large candy can for stirrer
