Crockpot Chicken And Kraut Recipe

Crockpot Chicken And Kraut Recipe
This is a tasty tender chicken dish. People who do not like Kraut often like this dish. I know this recipe sounds odd but if you try it you will fix it again and again. I have taken it to potluck dinners and get great compliments.

Ingredients
  • 1 package of bone-in chicken thighs
  • 1/2 bottle of Catalina Salad dress or any French dressing
  • 1 can of sauerkraut
  • 1 Tbls caraway seeds

Directions
  1. Spray the crack with Pam
  2. put in the package of thighs usually around 8
  3. Rinse the can of Kraut and put over the top of the chicken
  4. Pour 1/2 bottle of salad dressing over the Kraut
  5. Sprinkle the caraway seeds over the top
  6. I always start chicken 1 hr. on high and then move to low heat for the rest of the time. I do this recipe 8 to 10 hours. It is so tender you will have trouble removing it from the crock.

Yummy, I had this one and I liked it a lot!

Good recipe, love chicken and craut. You have my 5

I think sauerkraut is so-so, but my hubby loves it. We will try this one - looks like something we'll both like!

I really really really like sauerkraut--the caraway seeds are absolutely right. You might try also a cut-up apple in there.

Thanks so much for your rating and comment--I really appreciate it.
