Directions

Go look at the ends of your Saran Wrap and your Aluminum Foil boxes. Did you ever know there are push in TABS on the ends of those boxes to keep the roll from popping out of the box when you tear it off???

When a friend sent me this little heads up I immediately went and checked out my boxes. Sure as HECK...there ARE PRESS IN TABS on the ends of the boxes! Also, on one box it reads: Press here to lock end". Right there on the end of the box is a tab to lock the roll in place. How long has this little locking tab been there? I then looked at a generic brand of aluminum foil and it had one, too. I then looked at a box of Saran wrap and it had one too! I can’t count the number of times the foil roll has jumped out when I was trying to cover something.

I honestly feel like an idiot!! So... go push your tabs in and join the 21st century! I wonder if I am the LAST PERSON ON EARTH THAT DIDN'T KNOW ABOUT THIS FEATURE???

Got a funny story for you....
Last summer the dad's friend John was here and they were grilling, Steve asked John to come in and get him some alum. foil. So John comes in grabs the foil and yanks it out of the box...ruined the whole thing and then went into a big lecture about the tabs at the end. He was upset cuz he had to go down and buy a new box. I never knew they were there..then again I don't yank the foil out as if it were a lawnmower cord.

Well, I do believe MANY of us are feeling like dummies...I never saw tabs, never heard about tabs, never thought about tabs preventing the rolls from jumping out of the boxes - this is too funny...WHY have the makers of foil, sarah, etc, kept us CLUELESS all these years???
