It's chicken nachos where the star is the chicken not the nacho chips.

I added some of my favorite taco toppings (black olives, green onion...) before putting it in the oven. I also seasoned the chicken with taco seasonings. Turned out superb!

Are the slits on the chicken breast to act as "catchers" for the juicy stuff on top? Or is that so you can slice it up easier? Pondering because I'm wondering how deep a slit.
Went and found it on the Kraft site. YIPEE!! Its on my diet.

WOW! This was sooo good and soooo easy!!! I made it as written but I doubled the salsa, sour cream and tortilla chips...it really needed it! I also sprinkled some chopped cilantro ontop before serving. I used fat free sour cream! I was tempted to season the breasts before adding the toppings but I didn't...and it didn't need it! The salt from the tortilla chips and the salsa was just enough! I know I'll be making this often! I added a pic!

This is one of those recipes that I would totally love and also be totally annoyed that my husband won't eat it because of the sour cream. Grrrr.....

Top shelf, baby, top shelf! I even forgot to slit the chicken.
Seasoned breasts before adding topping.

OH SO GOOD! Back to report in on this one. Made it as directed, slit the breasts--added a bit of kosher salt first, pepper and a bit of fresh garlic. Maybe one clove divided between 3 breast halves. Not much "modification" as I believe in doing a recipe AS CALLED FOR instead of changing it first--then giving a review based on that (like is habit on *ahem* another recipe site)LOL.
This was easy, economical, and delicious. Moist, flavorful and filling. The nacho chips give it a decidedly different taste--and also make up for the chicken not being browned prior to baking!
All in all, a SOLID 5 review on this one! Thanks for the great new "regular" in my kitchen. :-)
