Spaghetti Squares

- 8 oz. spaghetti shopping list
- 1/2 lb. hamburg or 2 italian sausage, casing removed shopping list
- 1 small onion, chopped shopping list
- 1 box(10 oz.) frozen chopped spinach, thawed shopping list
- 2 large eggs, beaten shopping list
- 1 jar spaghetti sauce, divided shopping list
- 1 cup grated parmesan cheese, divided shopping list
- 1/2 cup ricotta cheese (I have used cottage cheese in a pinch) shopping list
- 1/4 tsp. nutmeg shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 350
- Lightly grease 9 in. square pan
- Cook spaghetti according to package directions, drain
- In pan, cook onion until tender and brown meat
- In large bowl, mix together eggs, spaghetti, 1/2 cup spaghetti sauce, meat mixture, and 3/4 cup Parmesan cheese
- Pour into baking pan
- Squeeze excess water out of spinach
- In bowl, mix spinach, cheese, and nutmeg
- Spoon over spaghetti mixture
- Spread with remaining spaghetti sauce
- Bake for 30 minutes
- Sprinkle with remaining Parmesan cheese and bake 5 more minutes
- Let stand 5 minutes before serving

Yeah baby, I've made this with shells, fusilli (sp?) you name it. But I've never added spinach - hmmm.... sounds good, kinda like lasagna. Good one, Wynne.
