From joe1155 15 years agoIngredients
- 1lb spaghetti (I recommend De Cecco spaghetti No. 12) shopping list
- 1 stick unsalted butter shopping list
- 30 sage leaves shopping list
- parmigiano Reggiano shopping list
- salt and pepper shopping list
How to make it
- Fill a large pot with water bring to the boil. Add a good tablespoon of salt. When at full boil add pasta. When it comes back to the boil cook the pasta for 11 minutes (if using something other that De Cecco, follow the directions on the package).
- In a frying pan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the sage leaves. (You can tear them in small pieces if you like). Add some salt and pepper amd let cook on very low heat while the pasta is cooking.
- When pasta is done, drain, reserving some of the water, and add it to the pan. Mix thoroughly. If necessary, add some of the reserved water to thin the sauce.
- Add some parmesan cheese and mix again.
- Plate it and sprinkle with more parmesan cheese.
