Ingredients

How to make it

  • Preheat oven to 375.
  • Place beef into large skillet and begin browning process.
  • When meat is about 1/2 browned, add onions and finish browning.
  • Drain meat well---you may place into a strainer and spray with very hot water at this point to reduce even more fat.
  • Return meat & onions to skillet and top with slices of melted cheese, water, ketchup, mustard, relish and seasonings.
  • Stir until melted thoroughly and well-combined.
  • Remove from heat and pour contents into an 11x7 casserole.
  • Cover with crescent rolls, pinching rolls together to form a solid top.
  • Brush with beaten egg, and sprinkle lightly with kosher salt for appearance. (You may use sesame seeds!)
  • Bake in 350 oven until golden brown, shiny, and bubbly around edges, approx 25 minutes.
  • Let cool for 5 minutes before serving. Enjoy!

It is fast and easy to make after a long day at work. Husband said it was the best thing I have made all week. Maybe a night on the couch will help him to remember the other dinners I have made.

Oh I like...I'm gonna make this soon. Makes me think of the cheeseburger pockets with less work. My pockets never came out pretty anyway. :( That and I would always forget to put the dang cheese in....LOL
