- frozen veggies... onions, leeks, carrots, celery, tomatoes, Brussels sprouts, corn niblets, anything veg that is frozen! shopping list
- 1 quart of chicken broth shopping list
- salt and pepper to taste shopping list
- frozen meat of your choice. shopping list
- (This can be hamburger, pork, beef, chicken, veal, lamb, whatever...) shopping list
- 2 - 3 raw potatoes shopping list
How to make it
- Combine ALL ingredients into a large stewing pot over LOW flame.
- Cook very slowly over six hours, adding raw potato early in the process.
- Allow to simmer slowly for the six hours.
- Taste, and add what you desire during the cooking process, allowing all to cook to softness.
- When ready to simmer for the last hour, remove the large pieces of veggies, and puree. return to the pot.
- This stew is cheap, HIGHLY healthy, delicious, and well worth the six hour wait!

I keep all of the liquid off of any canned veggies I use in 1/2 gallon plastic jugs in the freezer and use that to make my stews and soups with. Your idea and mine seem to be a perfect match!!! Love your recipe BTW!
