I happened to come across this article that I believe pertains to many aspects in our daily lives. I suppose this could be considered a "recipe for life."

Ingredients
  • A Lion and a Cougar
  • By Howard E. Butt, Jr.
  • *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
  • A lion and a cougar arrived at a water hole at the same time. They began to argue about who should drink first. The argument grew heated, and each decided he would rather die than let the other go first. Their emotions turned to rage and a battle erupted.
  • Suddenly, the fight stopped. Vultures had appeared and were circling overhead, waiting for the loser to fall. The two beasts watched the vultures for a moment, then both drank and walked away. The thought of being devoured ended their quarrel.

Directions
  1. Howard Butt, Jr., ~ When we lose our heads in needless arguments, the vultures begin to circle. But when we keep our cool and find the solution that benefits everyone, we win . . . it’s the high calling of our daily work.
  2. But avoid foolish controversies and genealogies and arguments and quarrels about the law, because these are unprofitable and useless. Warn a divisive person once, and then warn him a second time. After that, have nothing to do with him.
  3. (Titus 3:9-10)

Lovely, my friend.

Perfect, and worth while. I think I shall take this to heart!!!

Certinly the philosophersof the world have been preaching this over the centuries and yet we ( Humans) have not been able to use their words or to live by them. It may never happen that we will be able to live together in peace and harmony.

Wise words! Five :+D

Oh yes, this is perfect but unfortunately someone with a negative slant on life has lowballed what is to be considered useful daily practice. You've got my 5 forks Lor. Well done my friend.

I just finished the afternoon shift and thought I'd check out the latest. This is excellent Lor and good of you to share. You've got my 5 forks and it looks like most of the others agree.

Of course someone had to rate this "LOW". Maybe the words are too much for some to handle. I am sorry they feel that way but maybe, just maybe they will change their mind and alter their way of thinking. I didn't post this article to point fingers, instead to open our eyes ~ mine too.

Another low hit from a "possibly" unhappy person. I know who this person is and it appears that she needs some acts of kindness. So instead of reacting, or attacking negatively, I send {{{{{{{HUGS}}}}}}} all round.

Perfect! Perfect! Perfect! You have my 5!

Thank you for this post...five

Simply wonderful - thank you!

To wohomever rated this low... do you realise you also rated Holy Scripture low too, not just the lion and the cougar story...? Lor is right, you need help, and hugs too. please, please, friend, reconsider.

Susan
