Ganache Shots
From annieamie 16 years agoIngredients
- 1 12 ounce bag of bittersweet chocolate chips, semi-sweet or dark shopping list
- 1 cup of fresh cold, heavy whipping cream shopping list
- Extra whipped cream for topping (we use Redi-whip) shopping list
- Optional: a light sprinkling of cinnamon over whipped cream topping shopping list
- ...For non-alcoholic shots: shopping list
- 1 -2 TB vanilla ice cream. (coffee ice cream is great!) Or use any flavor of ice cream that you wish. lemon sorbet is just perfect! shopping list
- ..For Alcoholic shots: shopping list
- 1TB Baileys or another coffee-flavored liqueur, Amaretto, rum, cognac, whiskey, etc shopping list
How to make it
- Chill four ounce glasses in fridge before making ganache.
- Mix chocolate with cream in large glass bowl or measuring glass and microwave on high for one minute, stirring well until combined and satiny in appearance. This is your ganache!
- In a cooled four ounce glass, make layers of ice cream, chocolate ganache, the extra whipped cream and top with sprinkled cinnamon.
- For the alcoholic shots, add your ganache, the alcohol and then top with whipped cream. You can reverse it too. You can even mix it all up together and enjoy it that way.
- The shot glasses work well but they are quite small. Sure, sure, I suppose its small enough for alcohol but never big enough for a Chocoholic! We don't drink alcohol but we do serve this with great success to friends who do drink. They love it! And try layering it in different ways. Its all up to your imagination! Enjoy!

I can't even b elieve that a recipe for this exists in the real world! I'm making these for Valentine's Day, I think. Hey Anne? You should give away free gym memberships with these recipes.
