Easy Gourmet Italian Hamburgers

- 1 lb hamburg shopping list
- 1 cup red onion, diced shopping list
- 1 tsp beef base shopping list
- 1 can diced tomatoes, squeeze water out through cheese cloth or paper towel (IN SINK) shopping list
- 2 cloves garlic, minced shopping list
- 1 cup fresh basil, chopped finely shopping list
- 1 tsp balsamic vinegar shopping list
- 1 tbsp olive oil shopping list
- 4 slices provolone cheese shopping list
- 1/2 cup mayo shopping list
- 4 buns shopping list
- fresh ground pepper to taste shopping list
How to make it
- Drain most of the water out of the canned tomatoes through a paper towel, put in small saucepan.
- Add 3/4 cup of chopped onion,1 clove minced garlic, 1/2 cup basil, olive oil and balsamic vinegar.
- Sautee over low heat for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Remove from heat + let cool some.
- In a bowl, combine hamburg, tomato mixture, remaining 1/4 cup onion, and beef base. Mix by hand until well-blended.
- In a separate container, mix mayo, garlic and remaining 1/4 cup basil, and set aside.
- Form hamburg mixture into 4 burgers and fry/grill 5 minutes each side, or less/more time for desired done-ness.
- Add cheese, mayo, and bun (recommend grilled) for a delicious gourmet burger!

I like this with ground beef it is really tasty
I will be receiving some ground Deer meat, perhaps I could adapt this for the venison.
