Nothing Like The Chefs Chopped Liver Recipe

How to make it

  • Dice and sautee the large onion
  • Take a large bowl put ten hard boiled eggs in bowl.
  • Mash the hard boiled eggs
  • Take broiled chicken livers and cut them into very small pieces and place in bowl with eggs.
  • add in sauteed onions,mayonnaise and mix together real good,trying to make it as fine as possible.
  • add salt & pepper to your taste.
  • serve on a bed of lettuce using some cherry tomatoes for design and crackers around outstde.

    I like chicken livers but this sounds like it doesn't have much visual appeal.
    I'd like to see a picture of this. Next time you make it post a photo.

    I used to have chopped liver at "bubzie's" house when I was a kid.. brings back memories... hers was more of a paste consistancy I don't know how she did it (way before food processers). I want to make this but I know no one in my house will eat it. guess thats what happens when a nice jewish girl marries sicillian ;0
