Ingredients

How to make it

  • Bring the water to a boil in a very large pot. Squeeze the lemon juice into the water, then throw in the halves. Add the onion, garlic, salt and crab boil. Reduce heat to a simmer, cover, and cook for about 10 minutes.
  • Add the potatoes and sausage; cover and simmer for 20 minutes. Add the corn and cook for 10 minutes. Remove from the heat and stir in the shrimp. Let sit covered for 5 minutes or until shrimp are pink. Drain, and serve with melted butter for dipping. Broth may be reserved and reused for cooking rice or other soups.

    Hey Griz -
Back in Tennessee we would do the boil in a turkey fryer (little beer while you wait) and then drain and throw it out on two long 6 foot tables covered with newspaper - herd the guests over and start to graze..... it is very good and a real unique way to serve your guests.....also very little cleanup - nice post

Hey there! This stuff is great! My sister had fixed it before she knew she was allergic to shellfish! Whoa!! What a spotted mess she was! She broke out in hives and scratched while we ate away at all the goodies! More for us, Yeah!!! Jett

Oh yeah it's southern... we take credit for all that is good!
We do this alot in the summer for pool parties.. Line the table with layers of newspaper and small bowls of melted butter, which here in the summer stays melted! Dinner is served!
We have to triple this ...
