Ingredients

How to make it

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  • In medium glass or enamel baking pan mix garlic, lemon juice and Worcestershire with 1/2 cup water. Add butter and both the black and cayenne pepper and half the parsley.
  • Cross hatch the tops of the chicken with 4 slashes, about 1/4 inch deep. Place chicken, scored side down, in pan and spoon the sauce over.
  • Bake, uncovered, 20 minutes. Remove from oven and stir in remaining parsley.
  • Serve chicken with a spoonful (or two) of sauce over the top.

This was very easy and tasty. It was kinda lemony. I would rather have tasted more of the garlic and the Worcestershire because I love that stuff, but that's probably just me. 20 minutes exactly and my chicken breasts were nice and tender. Thanks for a lovely dinner. I added a picture of my result. Some more thoughts in IMI

Hello Irishiz, I wanted to let you know I made this dish tonight and it was terrific. I let it marinade all day and served it with white rice which went perfectly with the delicious sauce. The chicken came out juicy, very garlicky (which I love) and very lemony. The hint of cayenne pepper added a subtle yet nice kick. One more thing, cross hatching the chicken gave it a lovely appearance! (I baked the chicken with the cross hatchings upwards. With a sprinkling of the parsley and plenty of sauce it didn't dry out and looked great!)
