This is a marinade the Mexican markets where I lived in Tucson would use to marinate their beef and chicken in. It's wonderfully delicious. It marinates 1 1/2 to 2 pounds of meat or chicken.

Just whipped up a batch for chicken - ooooh dawgies! That is some powerful stuff! I added a little olive oil, just because. I used only two of the chiles from the can of chilpotle in adobo sauce, lime juice since I didn't have the fruit and one huge navel orange plus a little juice from the fridge. So, will comment back tomorrow after grilling. My lips are ALIVE right now!!

Okay: reporting back next day after broiling my marinated chicken breasts! EXCELLENT! not too hot, much mellow in the fridge. I used the leftover marinade mixed with sour cream as a "sauce" and served it with broiled fruits (oranges, bananas, strawberries, peaches and pineapple) Huge hit! Many thanks - a keeper
