Ingredients

How to make it

  • FLATTEN THE STEAKS WITH A MEAT-HAMMER.
  • SALT AND PEPPER THEM.
  • GRIND OR GRATE THE CARROT.
  • DIVIDE THE CARROT, THE ONION AND THE APPLES EVENLY OVER THE STEAKS.
  • ROLL THE STEAKS AND SECURE THEM WITH TOOTHPICKS.
  • IN A LARGE FRY PAN, BROWN THEM ON ALL SIDES IN OLIVE OIL.
  • ADD THE MASHED APPLE COMPOTE AND THE RED WINE AND SIMMER THE MEAT SLOWLY FOR 30 MINS OVER A MEDIUM FLAME,
  • REMOVE THE ROLLS AND KEEP WARM IN LOW OVEN.
  • CONTINUE SIMMERING THE SAUCE UNTIL IT THICKENS.
  • POUR IT OVER THE MEAT ROLLS AND IF YOU LIKE, GARNISH IT WITH APPLE SLICES THAT HAVE BEEN SAUTEED IN BUTTER.

    I'd try it, sounds like a little juniper berry would be right in line with this. Maybe in the apples
