How to make it

  • Brown beef, worcestershire, heinz 57, onion, garlic and green pepper with seasonings, drain if needed
  • Add tomatoes and corn
  • Simmer 15 minutes and pour into casserole.
  • Mix Jiffy cornbread mix as on package.
  • Then drizzle cornbread mixture over meat mixture.
  • Bake 350 for 18 to 20 minutes or until cornbread is golden brown.

    Delicious! My ground beef was only 1.22 lb. so I decided to only use the chili powder - left out the cumin, cayenne and red pepper flakes. I think it could have used a bit more heat though so I probably shouldn't have done that. I used a small can of corn. I knew I would have to drain my ground beef so I didn't put all the spices in until I added the tomatoes and corn. My cornbread took 30 minutes to get brown. I ate more than I should have! Thanks!
