Now I know this sounds weird...but I understand this is most popular out West! My friend calls it *Red Beer*....:)

Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup tomato juice
  • 12 ounces beer
  • .....................................................................................................................................
  • Beer is always the main ingredient; tomato juice is second fiddle; but the exact ratio can vary from an effervescent 5:1, in which the beer is merely flavored, to a 2:1 mix as fruity as a drink in a health food juice bar.
  • V-8 juice, regular or spicy, may be substituted for the tomato juice if desired.

Directions
  1. Pour the tomato juice into a 16-ounce glass.
  2. Gently pour in the beer, stirring just enough to mix but taking care not to stir out all the beer's bubbles.
  3. Garnish with a lime.
  4. Drink and enjoy!

Sounds good to me GF!

"as fruity as a drink in a health food juice bar".
I don't think you ever need to justify drinking beer. = )

Sounds good to me. I can't vote, what's up? Are you coming to the party?

I bet this is great on a very hot day!

I'm from SF and I drink this all the time. It's popular here in the midwest too. :)

One of my most favorite drinks. In the summer when we meet our motorcycle buddies at 10:00 to start out a day ride. You've got to have a couple of these, especially if you've not had breakfast.

My grandmother drink this when I was little and she would sneak and let me have a little sip, LOL.

Next to a spicy bloody mary..this is my fav hangover cure..with a shot of hot sauce.

Yummy! Red Beer! I haven't had one in too long! Thanks for the reminder!

This is great! Red Beer!

Mmm I had this a few years back ago when I visited mexico. spicy clamato and beer with a few seasonings. yum Rim the glass with celery salt. This is also coming out soon in a can. I think by budweiser.

I love this, I like to add jalapeno and celery salt, to this for an extra kick. I seed and then chop jalapeno and add it to the tomato juice before we add the beer. they also make a Bud Light version called Chelada. Very tasty also.

Always good!
