How to make it

  • Filling:combine together in a bowl and microwave for 3 minutes.
  • Dough: combine flour,eggs,& salt.
  • Add h2o little @ a time-just until moistened & workable & holds together
  • knead for a few minutes
  • cut dough in half
  • roll one half out to 1/4 " thickness
  • cut dough into 4" circles
  • for each perogie place a Tbsp. of filling in center of dough
  • fold over to form a 1/2 moon
  • crimp edges together w/ fork tines
  • repeat w/ other half of the dough
  • Boil a pot of water
  • when the water is boiling add 1tbsp salt
  • add perogies
  • cook 5-7 min.( they will float when done)
  • in a saute' pan melt 1 tbsp butter
  • add perogies and sautee to desired texture
  • transfer toa plate and immediately sift powdered sugar over hot perogies
  • ENJOY!

    How light is that dough?

    Blackberries are fantabulous as well. I usually serve my fruit filled perogi with a lightly sweetened sour cream - soooo good!
