Nice easy appetizer and tastes great too.....give it a try. you can also sprinkle parmesan cheese or a chili powder on before baking it great that way too .........

Ingredients
  • 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cracked black pepper
  • 1 can refrigerated 11 ounces pillsbury cornbread twists (bought next to biscuits in store)
  • 8 slices of any ready to serve bacon heated as directed on pkg

Directions
  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees f.
  2. mix brown sugar ,pepper in shallow pan dish, set aside
  3. unroll corn twists dough, separate into 8 long strips; press perforations together in each strip to seal, top each dough strip with bacon slice. and to sugar and pepper mixture turning and coating it all over, then twist topped dough strips slightly, then place on greased baking sheet
  4. bake 11 to 13 min or until lightly brown , dont over cook them lightly brown.......

I was so happy to see this recipe. They make these at the gas station near me, although I think they use bread dough. This is so quick & easy. I buy some to take to work for my lunch sometimes. Now I'll be able to make my own. Thanks. A '5' from me for a great treat.

I have been looking at these for a while now and thought I'd better check them out. Boy, I'm glad I did. There are so many things you could serve these with. How about a bowl of chili or beef stew. This is a great recipe. Easy and tasty. You do got it going on girlfriend. Big *5* from me. love ya,

Appetizer Nothing! This is perfect to give to the kids in the car on the way to school. Breakfast without the mess! I am loving it!!!


I was wondering if I took those cheese sticks they make and tear one into 4ths, if I could wrap the bread around that before twining it with the bacon and how well would that work!!! I am going to try it!


I made these for breakfast this weekend and yep they are just as great as I thought they would be. Kids really loved them. I put the cheese into the bread and it worked, but it was not over powering.
