Million Dollar Pound Cake Recipe

Ingredients

1 lb butter, softened

6 large eggs

3/4 cup whipping cream

1 teaspoon vanilla

10 inch tube pan

3 cups sugar

4 cups all purpose flour

1 teaspoon almond extract

Directions

Preheat oven to 300 degrees F

Beat butter at medium speed w/electric mixer until creamy(5-7 mins)

Gradually add sugar, beating at medium speed until light & fluffy

Butter will turn to a fluffy white.

Add eggs one at a time, beating until yellow yolk disappears.

Add flour to creamed mixture alternately with whipping cream.

Start with flour and ending with flour

Beat at low speed until blended after each addition

Batter should be smooth, no lumps

Stir in vanilla & almond extracts with a spatula

Use vegetable shortening or butter to grease pan well

Sprinkle with a light coating of flour over greased surface

Bake at 300 degrees for 1 hour and 40 minutes

Cool on rack for about 15 minutes.

Remove from pan and cool completely on a wire rack
