Hot And Spicy Cabbage Recipe
HOT AND SPICY CABBAGE This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Viler Estate in Georgetown, Texas in 1991.

Ingredients
  • 1 pound sausage
  • 1 large head cabbage shredded
  • 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper
  • 3 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • Water
  • Hot cooked rice

Directions
  1. Cook sausage then drain half of the drippings.
  2. Add cabbage, pepper and sugar the drippings then stir until mixture cooks down.
  3. Add water to cover and cook until tender.
  4. Serve over hot rice.

Yes, smoked Kielbsa works great. I have made it with several kind sof asausage and all are great.
