Ingredients

How to make it

  • Cook cabbage in large pot of boiling salted water until tender, about 2 minutes. Transfer to bowl using slotted spoon; drain. Return water in pot to boil. Add potatoes and cook until tender. Drain; return potatoes to pot. Add butter and mash with masher. Mix in onions, then cabbage. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
  • Butter either 8 1-cup souffle dishes or 1 8-cup baking dish. Pre-heat oven to 350. Spoon mixture into prepared dish(es) and sprinkle with cheese.
  • Bake until heated through and cheese bubbles, about 25 minutes for small dishes or 35 or baking dish.

Thank you for the link to this I have added it to my recipe box. I have a head of cabbage just looking for a recipe. I think, besides your suggested Corn Beef recipe, that this would be good with Polish sausage.
