Ingredients
  • 2 Fresh Horseradish roots
  • 1/2 cup white vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 100 boxes of tissues for your tears. (Don't say I didn't warn you)

Directions
  1. Peel horseradishes with vegetable peeler
  2. Prepare tissues at your side. ( I really mean it)
  3. Grate Horseradishes with hand grater. (They are usually too tough for most electical graters or food processors)
  4. If you do decide to use a food processor, cut Radishes into small pieces first to avoid damaging the blades.
  5. DO NOT RUB YOUR EYES!
  6. When your tears have dried and you have recovered and you have stopped cursing me for this recipe, add sugar and vinegar.
  7. Mix well
  8. Store in small , sealed , glass containers.

A Double Dog Dare--Huh?? Just guess I'll have to try this one and let you know. Thank-you for a different recipe.
Kind Regards

WOW RONNIE I TRIPLE DOG DARE YOU LOL YOU TRYING TO MAKE ME CRY LIKE A BABY HA HA HA HA ITS A HOT ONE THERE ..........

DID YOU FIND THAT FAFFLE IRON I LEFT YOU ON FOOD GADGETS GROUP

OMG.. you are so right.. First year I grew horseradish... I tried doing it in the kitchen. BIG MISTAKE! After I got finished CRYING, and everyone else in the house. .. took it out side.. and made sure the wind was blowing away from us! I love that stuff! Thanks for sharing and bringing back a memory!

Horseradish lover, here!

Thank you! I love horseradish and was curious how to turn it into "jar form" . . . and yes, we did this as kids one year and we brought it outside to process it, too!! I really helped!!

Wow. I don't think I'm brave enough yet, but my oldest loves everything hot... I'll let him give this a shot!

Are you serious? This sounds violently taste challenging. Yikes! First buy stock in Kleenex.

I have checked on several horseradish recipes and know your warning is real! Hear if you need to be in a well ventilated area like outside! My husband grew horseradish root in our garden - it takes two years to harvest and I need to do something with it so I'll give your recipe a try -thanks. Oh and I won't be cursing you but my husband - he did not get the whole root and it is popping up everywhere!

I LOVE TEAR-JERKING ANYTHING!!! hahahaha

I *HEART* horseradish!

I have to try making this at home. I find that most store brands are not that hot. I used to buy some at our local farmer's market and that stuff was good but those vendors haven't been there for a couple of years. I'm told that when it's freshly made it is much stronger. How much would you say 2 roots are by weight aproximately?

Brings tears to my eyes! :)

Terrific! :)

Mercyyyyyy! This is a 'hot' one!

I love fresh horseradish, a fan helps when grating. and kleenex, lots!!

Perfect I grow Horseradish and now I have a great recipe for it.
Thank you

Simple and wonderful. Just so happens I grow my own horseradish. It will be ready to gather soon.
Thank you!

*sniffle sniff snort* You got my *sniffle* 5

I've never worked with fresh horseradish but love it in pot roasts and with roast beef and in shrimp cocktail sauce, of course! thanks!

We grew up on homemade horseradish and my father insisted that it helped to relieve cold symptoms. Guess what we got a dose of whenever we showed signs of a cold LOL High "5"
