Cheesy Beef And Cornbread Cobbler - Pie

- Cheesy beef & cornbread Pie shopping list
- Preheat oven 350 degrees. shopping list
- 1 Pd. lean ground beef (cooked and drained) shopping list
- 1 large chopped onion shopping list
- 1 cup of chopped green peppers shopping list
- 1 clove chopped garlic (optional) shopping list
- Add 1 can of condensed tomato soup, shopping list
- 1 cup of water, shopping list
- 1 teaspoon of black pepper shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon of cayenne pepper shopping list
- 1 teaspoon of paprika shopping list
- 1 tsp sugar shopping list
- 1 cup of whole kernel corn, drained shopping list
- 2/3 cup diced tomatoes shopping list
- (Mix all well and heat in skillet) shopping list
- (corn bread top) shopping list
- Combine 1 1/2 cups of corn meal shopping list
- 1/4 cup flour shopping list
- 1 tablespoon of sugar shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon of salt, shopping list
- 1 teaspoon of baking powder, shopping list
- 1 beaten egg shopping list
- 2/3 cup buttermilk shopping list
- 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil. shopping list
- Mix well shopping list
- TOP: shopping list
- Over (all) - also 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese shopping list
How to make it
- In a large iron skillet, brown the lean ground beef, the green peppers,and 1 large chopped onion. (drain well)
- Add the remaining filling items
- Mix all the filling well (in the iron skillet) Heat until boiling.
- Pour the cornbread mixture over the simmering ingredients in the skillet
- 1 cup grated sharp cheddar cheese over all
- The cornbread batter may disappear into the meat mixture but it will rise during baking and form a layer of cornbread.
- Bake for 20 or 30 minutes or until the cornbread is lightly browned.
- DELICIOUS WITH A BIG BOWL OF FRESH GREENS OR GARDEN SALAD!

GREAT sounding recipe...especially for
teenage boys and men who Never seem to get enough to 'fill them up'! I will have to modify this
recipe for my 16 year old Grandson, however,
and leave out the Green pepper...since h...moremjcmcook in Beach City loved it -
Sounds absolutely delicious! A must try recipe for sure!
