I'm so glad you like it! I used to get hero's like this at a deli near where I worked, many years ago...They were called "Vito's Best" and now I figured out how to make them at home.:)

Lillian, made this last night for dinner. YUMMY!!! Hubby couldn't stop raving. Threw it all in the slow cooker with a little beef broth and some spices as I had to run out the door suddenly. It was fantastic!! Will be making again for sure. Thanks for sharing your recipe!!

OH MY GOODNESS... Believe me, I can vouch for how good this sandwich is. If I could give you "10" forks I would but "5" forks will have to do.
Cheers!!!

I compliment the chef for creating a masterpiece in the steak sandwich category. Love the garlic and onion with the brown sauce of your recipe.
Five forks and a smile :)

I SO want to try this! I have looked all over for sliced sirloin (let alone thin sliced). I can't find it anywhere. What must one do to obtain this?

I can't wait to make this...I have to agree this brings back childhood memories.. It's something that's pretty simple to make, but most people don't think of. Thanks for the post. 5 forks and a high 5!
