Made with thin sliced sirloin,sauteed in garlic(of course), butter, olive oil, salt and pepper.Then put on a hero roll with mozzerella cheese and baked til browned.

  • 1 1/2 lbs. thinly sliced,lean sirloin steak, 5 large cloves minced garlic, 4 tbls. butter, 3 tbls. exrta virgin olive oil, salt and pepper to taste, 2 tsp. cornstarch, 4 Hero rolls,

Directions
  1. Brown the garlic in the butter and olive oil. Add the steak and salt and pepper. Cook til well done. Remove the steak from pan and set aside. Add the cornstarch and whisk til thickened.Taste and adjust seasoning. Slice the hero rolls open and place meat inside. Pour a little of the thickened gravy on top and add the shredded mozzerella.Wrap each sandwich in tin foil so that just the meat and cheese is exposed. Place on a baking sheet in oven at 425 degrees til browned. Serve warm.

Lillian, made this last night for dinner. YUMMY!!! Hubby couldn't stop raving. Threw it all in the slow cooker with a little beef broth and some spices as I had to run out the door suddenly. It was fantastic!! Will be making again for sure. Thanks for sharing your recipe!!

I SO want to try this! I have looked all over for sliced sirloin (let alone thin sliced). I can't find it anywhere. What must one do to obtain this?
