How to make it

  • Preheat a grill for high heat.
  • In a medium bowl, lightly mix together the ground beef, Worcestershire sauce, liquid smoke and garlic powder. Form into 3 patties, handling the meat minimally. Brush both sides of each patty with some oil, and season with seasoned salt.
  • Place the patties on the grill grate, and cook for about 5 minutes per side, until well done.

This is a footnote to my previous posting: The smoke taste in these was really very, very strong the next day. Almost overpowering. If these aren't all going to be eaten up right away, I'd cut the liquid smoke in half.

Dinner tonight and, from the looks of the leftovers, dinner tomorrow night! :) I was kinda unsure about this recipe because of the amount of liquid smoke but it was really great! You could taste the "smoke" right away but then it faded away and you tasted the burger! Thanks for putting this here. Added my picture, too. More here

Hi Donman, how are you doing? Nice post! I love burgers of all kinds. Now, I love Worcester sauce and I love garlic and these sound great with the beef - but I don't think I have ever heard of liquid smoke - what is this?
    Cheers
