    At the risk of 'losing' my 'friends' I will say: Why are there fingers pointing everywhere? Should the 'finger' point back to the one pointing?... I think so. Sandy, I don't know the 'whole' story, I too grew up with thay saying... Thumper's mom (Bambi) says it best:) You are a kind and thouightful human being, I wrote in my by-line one time It is the 'Season' to give and forgive... maybe this needs to take place?...     Ooooh I've been told off! You are too funny dagnabbit - you defend Sandy and claim people pick others apart, when it's perfectly okay for you to do it with your nasty words to me telling me "to shut the hell up"! You really must think you have quite the power, but I hate to inform you, or the "troops," bullies it appears, are no more powerful than I am as far as telling anyone to leave anyone alone or shut up, or I would have shut Sandy up 3 weeks ago!     I'm sick of this crap where some people pick others apart for no understandable cause.

    As did I grow up with that saying. And, it's TRUE.
    What harm are you doing, Sandy? There are many people here who WILL offer you our support regardless of those who imagine themselves superior.
    That is not what this site is for. We should be ENCOURAGING one another, not just looking for someone or something to destroy. It's happened too many times on GR, but please don't let them upset you.
    You will find there are more friends here to SUPPORT and uplift you than there are detractors.

    PS -- Just noticed Susan's comment regarding the silly 'rating' system. I agree with her 200 % if that was possible. If it was removed, then the ne'er-do-wells would move out, because then, there would be no one here to pester.

    I grew up with this saying too. As to the purpose of this site... it is not just about cooking, it's actually also a social networking site. And if one of my friends wants to let me know about a good way to get a stain out of something or how to make a cheap facial scrub then I will be happy to use it. The groups are also an indicator of the social aspect of GR - they're not all about cooking either.

    I've seen some despicable (and hypocrital) things written here for which some folks should hang their heads in shame. They take advantage of the fact that the site's not monitored, before they think about how hurtful their words are. And of all the things on this site that could have broken down, I wish it had been the rating system.

    Sandy, keep on being as helpful as you are! If everyone tried to be helpful then maybe they wouldn't have time to belittle others. Live and let live. I always believed in treating others as I would like them to treat me. The world would be a much better place if everyone practiced this.

    This is a rule everyone should live by, definitely! I'm always saying it to myself when I have the urge to gossip, or be impolite. Kindness always wins! Please don't stop posting your recipe and ideas - this site is for everyone. Although someone may have a negative opinion, it doesn't give them the right to treat you in a negative way.
