Almost Escargot

- 28 white mushrooms,stems removed(24 to bake,4 for garnish) shopping list
- 1-1/2 c garlic butter shopping list
- 1-1/2 c cold bernaise sauce(store bought is fine) shopping list
- 1 c shredded cheddar(I will try gruyere) shopping list
- cube ciabatta or frnch bread shopping list
- 30 discos of puff pastry squares shopping list
- 4 escargot or ceramic dishes shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 350' Place 6 mushrooms in greased sections of escargot dishes or ceramic dishes. Top each mushroom with garlic butter ,bernaise and cheese.. Place extra muxshrooms,smooth side up in center(1 per dish).
- Bake 18-20 mins till mushrooms are soft and cheese golden.Place bread cubes on plate on the side and puff pastry squares on top of casserole as garnish.
- Garlic butter:Blend 1 lb. softened butter and 1/8 c chopped garlic and 1 T dry parsley
- Discos: 1 sheet store bough puff pastry,partially defrosted. Cut with pizza cutter into 1" squares.
- Bake according to box directions.
- Roughly 3 oz garlic butter and bernaise per dish.

Pat...I've been eyeing up this recipe for awhile. I've seen Bearnaise sauce sold in envelopes in the store. Is there a jarred kind that would work better? What do you use?
