Orange Blondies Recipe

	Krumkake / All my dishes 11 months, 1 week ago I first saw these made on the Paula Deen show, and I knew I had to try them. With a few minor changes, these have become a family favorite. They are dense, rich, and sooooo sweet, and packed with a delicious orange flavor. Prep:15m Cook:30m Servings:36	Krumkake

Ingredients

Blondies:

1 cup butter (2 sticks), softened

2 cups sugar

4 eggs

1½ cups flour

1 teaspoon salt

1 tablespoon pure orange extract

1 tablespoon grated zest of an orange (do not include the white part of the orange peel)

Glaze:

1½ cup powdered sugar

4 tablespoons orange juice

1 tablespoon grated zest of an orange (do not include the white part of the orange peel)

Directions

For the blondies, cream together butter and sugar in a large bowl.

Add eggs and mix well.

Add flour, salt, extract, and orange zest, and mix well.

Pour into greased 9x13 pan.

Bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 35 minutes.

Remove from oven; wait 5 minutes, then pierce top of bars several times with the tines of a fork.

Pour glaze over warm blondies, allowing it to soak into the pierced top.

Cool completely and cut into small squares.

To make glaze, combine all ingredients in a bowl, stirring together until smooth. Glaze should be runny enough that you can drizzle it over the bars - it is not meant to be as thick as a traditional frosting.

Krum, these are just wicked. I took a pan to work one day and was lucky to come home with both of my arms intact. Hmmmm, wonder if those guys would do my filing for me, if I bribed them with another pan???? Love this post, dear, as always you are the best.
