- 1 1/3 cups cake flour shopping list
- 2 tsp baking powder shopping list
- ½ cup sugar shopping list
- 1/3 cup evaporated skim milk (not sweetened condensed) shopping list
- 1/3 cup butter (no subs), melted shopping list
- ½ cup thick apple butter shopping list
- 1 cup coarsely chopped shortbread cookies shopping list
- 1 cup dark chocolate chips or chunks shopping list
- 1 ½ cups ounces thick caramel sundae topping (eg. Smuckers) shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 350º F.
- In a large bowl, combine cake flour, baking powder, sugar, evaporated milk, melted butter, and apple butter
- Stir with a spoon to form a doughy mixture, then fold in chopped cookies.
- Grease 9” x 13” pan and press 1/2 of the dough into bottom of pan.
- Bake for 6 minutes.
- Remove pan from oven and immediately sprinkle chocolate chips over baked dough.
- Pour caramel syrup over the top of the chocolate chips and crumble the remaining uncooked cake dough over the caramel topping.
- Bake for 18 minutes more.
- Chill thoroughly before cutting and serving.
