Ingredients

How to make it

  • Mix the two ingredients together.
  • Don't add anything else that may be mentioned on the box, such as eggs, oil, or water.
  • The mixture will be very thick and you will be tempted to add in other things to make the batter smoother.
  • DO NOT DO THIS AS IT WILL RUIN EVERYTHING!
  • Place batter into muffin tins (or mini muffin tins) lined with paper, or sprayed with non-stick spray.
  • Bake at 400 degrees for 20 minutes.
  • Makes 15 regular or 36 mini muffins.

I am so disappointed, this didn't work for me! I followed the direction exactly except I put it in a bundt pan. It came out so dense and it didn't rise at all. It took 40 minutes to cook. It tasted pretty good but no one could eat more than one bite because the consistency was so thick. So Mark, don't try this in a bundt pan...it doesn't work that way! Well, at least it looked good! LOL!
I put a vanilla glaze on it and it kind of resembled a zebra skin.

This is awesome! I took the advice from one of the comments and made two half batches... one with devils food cake mix and one with spice cake mix. Both were awesome! Hard to believe how well they cooked with the pumpkin :)

OK...saw this recipe in the morning, went shopping bought both chocolate cake mix and spice cake mix, and one large can of pumpkin. My youngest (almost 21) son was here and said even tho the chocolate ones were good, the spice ones were best. I personally love the chocolate!!!
I can see adding some white chocolate chips to the spice and maybe macadamia nuts, and walnuts and orange zest to the chocolate mixture. Ohhhhh wait maybe dried cranberries to the spice ones and dried apple...the possiblities are endless.
