Vermouth Sauteed Mushrooms

- 1 lb fresh mushrroms shopping list
- 4 cloves chopped fresh garlic shopping list
- 1/2 stick salted butter shopping list
- 1/4 cup dry white vermouth shopping list
- 1/4 tsp salt shopping list
- 1/4 tsp white pepper shopping list
How to make it
- Melt 2 tbs of butter in saute pan, add garlic and mushrooms and saute for a few minutes until mushrooms are coated well with butter and begin to wilt down.
- cover and simmer for 5 minutes
- Add vermouth, remainder of butter, salt and pepper and cover and simmer 10 minutes.
- Serve over grilled steak, chicken or fish. or mix into Hamburger Helper dishes for a twist!!

I love this on top of whipped potatoes, I've got a similar recipe that I make with Chanterelles.
