Choc-ful-o-sin Oatmeal Cookies

- 1 cup butter, softened shopping list
- 1 cup granulated sugar shopping list
- 1 cup brown sugar, firmly packed shopping list
- 2 eggs shopping list
- 2 cups all-purpose flour shopping list
- ½ teaspoon baking powder shopping list
- 1 teaspoon baking soda shopping list
- 1/8 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 1 teaspoon vanilla shopping list
- 2 cups regular uncooked oats shopping list
- 1 cup chopped nuts shopping list
- 6 oz. (1/2 pkg.) chocolate chips shopping list
- 5 oz. (1/2 pkg.) Hershey’s cinnamon chips shopping list
How to make it
- In a medium bowl, cream butter.
- Gradually stir in sugars, beating well.
- Add eggs and mix well.
- Add vanilla and stir.
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder,
- baking soda and salt.
- Stir into butter/egg/sugar mixture.
- Fold in oats, chocolate chips, cinnamon chips and nuts.
- Chill dough for 2 hours.
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
- Roll dough in palm of hands into walnut sized balls.
- Bake on ungreased cookie sheet for 12-14 minutes.
- Remove from oven and let set for 5 minutes.
- Remove from baking sheet to wire rack to cool.
- note: Chilling the dough helps keep the cookies from spreading as they bake and adding more vanilla never hurts, does it?
