Tiramisu Custard

- custard shopping list
- 1 1/2 sticks butter, unsalted and softened shopping list
- 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed shopping list
- 1 can evaporated milk shopping list
- 1 can sweetened condensed milk shopping list
- 8 oz. mascarpone cheese shopping list
- 5 eggs shopping list
- 4 oz. espresso, brewed shopping list
- 5 oz. Kahlua shopping list
- 1 tsp. vanilla shopping list
- Sauce shopping list
- 1/4 stick butter shopping list
- 3 tbls. sugar shopping list
- 1 oz espresso shopping list
- 2 oz. Kahlua shopping list
- Garnish shopping list
- whipped cream shopping list
- cocoa powder shopping list
How to make it
- Heat oven to 350
- Melt 1/2 stick of butter in saucepan over medium low heat
- Add brown sugar
- Stir constantly until sugar is dissolved and caramelized
- Pour into bottom of 2 qt. casserole dish
- In mixing bowl, put in 1 stick butter, evaporated milk, condensed milk, mascarpone cheese, eggs, 3 oz. espresso, 3 oz. Kahlua, and vanilla
- Mix with hand mixer until smooth
- Pour mixture over caramelized sugar
- Put casserole dish into a 13x9 pan and add 1 inch of water
- Bake 80-90 minutes
- Let cool and refrigerate to chill
- Sauce
- In saucepan, melt butter and add sugar
- Add 1 oz. espresso, and 2 oz. Kahlua
- Bring to boil, then remove from heat
- Let stand to thicken
- Invert onto serving dish
- Pour sauce all over top
- Garnish with whipped cream
- Dust with cocoa powder
