That Rice Recipe
This fried rice recipe is so good the kids used to ask for THAT RICE. After about 6 months of hearing That Rice I gave up calling it Fried Rice. It is very good and very filling!

Ingredients
  • 8 strips bacon
  • 1/2 carrot grated
  • 1 med. onion, chopped
  • 1 1/2 cut chopped ham
  • 2 eggs
  • 3 cups cold cooked rice
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • salt to taste

Directions
  1. Fry bacon until crisp; crumble, set aside
  2. Cook carrot and onion in 2 tbsp of the bacon drippings, remove from pan, set aside
  3. Fry ham and remove from pan
  4. Scramble eggs in pan; add rice; add soy sauce and salt. Stir until rice is heated.
  5. Return all ingredients to the pan and stir to mix.
  6. ENJOY

When I saw your recipe was called "that rice" I was thinking to myself, "I'll bet it's called 'that rice' because people love it and ask for it often"....and it sounds like I was right! :) I'm bookmarking this one...I make mine about the same, but adding bacon is a great idea! :) Thanks! :)

i tried it just to see what it was like and loved it


Although might i add to my previous comment added HOT SAUCE


I usually add extra soy sauce.

it is indeed awesome, no matter what your meat!
