Peppers in Straitjackets
From dooley 16 years agoIngredients
- 8 fresh jalapeno peppers shopping list
- 4 oz. cream cheese, softened shopping list
- 1 teaspoon grated lime peel shopping list
- 1 tablespoon lime juice shopping list
- 1-1/2 tablespoons fresh cilantro chopped shopping list
- 1 8 oz. pkg. refrigerated cresent dinner rolls shopping list
- 1/4 cup butter, melted shopping list
- Grated parmesan cheese shopping list
How to make it
- Heat oven to 375, spray cookie sheet with cooking spray
- Mix cream cheese. Lime peel, Lime Juice and Cilantro
- Being careful, remove stems from Jalapenos( you want to just take the stem off so the split peppers are little boats with the ends intact)
- Cut Jalapenos in half lenghtwise and remove seeds.
- Unroll the dough and separate into the 8 triangles, cut each triangle in half to make 16 triangles
- spoon approx. 1 teaspoon of cream cheese mixture into each pepper half
- Place each half pepper, cream cheese side down on each triangle with point of pepper at the top of the triangle
- Wrap the sides of triangle around pepper (like a straitjacket) and pinch alittle to seal, pull the top of triangle over the end of pepper and pinch alittle to seal ( you may have to work at it alittle depending on the size of the pepper halves to, see extra pics)
- brush them with butter and springle generously with grated parmesan cheese
- Bake in 375 oven for 10-15 minutes until golden brown.
