Love this cake! Something I always request at Thanksgiving. I prefer it with the caramel icing. This is an old fashioned icing recipe, doubles as mom's caramel fudge. I remember Dad helping her beat the icing every year.

i tried this today and made tiny cupcakes. I iced half with the caramel and half with the cream cheese. both were a hit. thanks so much!!
