Ingredients

How to make it

  • Send your wife/husband out to walk the dog.
  • If you are already out , Bring home some fresh rolls and don't forget to bring in the paper!.
  • Chop Onion into very small pieces .
  • Break eggs (whole) into a cup
  • Melt butter in frying-pan, (skillet).
  • Fry onion untill golden brown. ( I sometimes like to let it start burning)
  • Turn flame down to low.
  • Pour yourself a nice cup of coffee.
  • Spread onion evenly in the pan
  • Pour eggs over fried Onion , Try to pour the yolk in the centre.
  • Cover pan and keep on flame until whites are firm . (usually about two minutes).
  • Take another sip of coffee.
  • Enjoy your breakfast and promise yourself that next time you'll make more

Takes a lil time and patience, but nice to let it cook while watching the horses play with the dogs out your kitchen window...of somethin' similar. ;) Nice addition, Ronny.

My father from Poland always made eggs with brown onions like your recipe. The long pole in the tent is the time to brown the onions. My problem is I make to much and then eat it all.... thanks

This sounds really good, but I don't have a dog, and I don't drink coffee. Do you think it will work with DH walking the cat and my drinking a cup of tea?

Very clever. I love onions with eggs, but never tried using so many onions. Bet I'll love this.
