An inexpensive, kid friendly recipe. There's nothing "gourmet" about this, rather it's taste is similar to "slider" type burgers!

Ingredients
  • 1lb ground beef
  • 2 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 2T dried minced onion
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 2T yellow mustard
  • 1/4 cup DILL pickle relish
  • 8 slices cheese of your choice
  • 2 packages refrigerated crescent rolls(or your own dough, if desired)
  • 1T melted butter
  • sesame seeds

Directions
  1. Cook beef in skillet with garlic until just done(don't over brown). Drain and cool slightly. Combine beef, onion, ketchup, mustard and relish in large bowl. Separate dough into 8 rectangles(not triangles) and lay 1 slice of cheese on each one. Add about 1/2 cup of meat mixture to each dough rectangle then fold dough over to create a sealed "pocket". Lay seams down on baking sheet and brush tops with melted butter and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Bake according to roll package directions until golden brown.
  2. *you can also add 1 canned of thoroughly drained diced tomatoes to meat mixture, if desired*

Hey Keni, Good recipe. (Jake says "Hi")

Great idea! My grand kids will love this! Thanks

Ground turkey would work fine too! Thanks for an easy recipe. I'm all for simple recipes and good eatin'!

We use the dough from refrigerator biscuits and put the dough in muffin pans then add the meat mixture. Sometimes we do the meat w/ pizza flavor and mozzarella cheese. It is a great recipe for all ages.

Came to check out your pic. Nice!

Very cool recipe!

Stopped by to see this because of the "I Made It" group. Looks good and easy!

These are a total hit with the family! The girls even wanted the leftovers for dinner tonite. :O
LOL
I will say this, don't send the dad to buy the crescent rolls or he will come back with the large ones...needless to say they were very big. I didn't get a pic this time but will be sure to take one next time when I have the regular size rolls. :)
Next time will be very soon as we have decided these are a must for football.

This was so very good! The only changes I made was to use chopped up dill pickles instead of dill pickle relish (I couldn't find this) and I used real onions instead of dried. I also toasted the sesame seeds. Also, I doubled the recipe and it was just enough for 8 burgers. Will definitely be making this very often!

Your pic looks good too, Lillian.

Thanks Keni! My boy is gonna love these!

These were good! Only changes I made were that I used real onion and I added some bacon that I needed to use up, and didnt use the relish. Even my husband liked them so thats pretty good!

My kids are gonna love these! Thanks!

Yummy....I did use lean ground chicken for a little bit of a healthier version...added some mushrooms, onion, and garlic too.....very good, great served with a side salad.

My kids will love these!

Hey, these look cool... Going to have to try it.

Keni these were great!!! Thank you! Everyone ate dinner and no complaints!

These were great. My kids LOVED them! Next time I will add some bacon. MMMM....already thinking about them!

I read alot of good comments on this recipe so I thought I would check it out...these are very similar to runza's, which are very good too.

Hey Keni! There's a new group, crescent rolls rule, I added this to it. Hope that's ok...:)

I made these tonight. Everyone loved them! I made some with american cheese and some with pepper jack cheese. Another A+ from Keni! Great alternative to regular cheeseburgers.

Awsome luv this one Keni thanks its a keeper!
