Directions

go through your thoughts and find all of the above ingredients

take each ingredient and wash it of any corrosion or degradation caused by time or lack of attention

remove all traces of fear or doubt

combine all the ingredients together. Mix well.

In the context of a venue of your choice -- it may be as simple as a picnic lunch, candlelit dinner, walk on the beach, a long, meandering Sunday drive, or even this web site... it's your choice -- picture the finished product being delivered to the one you love.

After having satisfactorily completed the previous step, make arrangements for it to happen, including all necessary props such as a bottle of wine, an outside concert with seating on the grass etc.

rehearse as needed

lure, persuade, kidnap, threaten, drag... whatever it takes... the object of your desire to the place you've chosen.

Present your letter, in whatever form, to them. It doesn't have to be complicated, there are no rules here... this is simple guidance. For example, it could be something as simple as this:

My dearest Victoria, I humbly offer this as a token of my love and affection for you.

You're so right, Shine...this morning on the news when they were re-airing an interview with Tony Snow after the news of his passing, he broke down when talking about his cancer and telling of the letter his son wrote about it. When told by the interviewer "You have a lot to live for, don't you?", Mr. Snow broke down, and when final able to utter some words, he only said "It's great to love someone this much." THAT pretty much says it all - love is what gives us the encouragement and passion and desire and will to go on, even when things look bleak or hopeless. Your message is a good reminder to all of us to look around us and be thankful for those who make us want to wake up every morning and face the challenges and thrills of another day.
