My Dads Italian Summer Tomato Salad Recipe

A simplest salad my Dad taught me, which we ate on hot summer nights. It has very few ingredients ICE being one of the main components.

Ingredients
  • 1 pound of vine ripe tomatoes
  • Enough red wine vinegar or balsamic vinegar to so that when the juice from the tomatoes and melted ice you still have a tart flavor.
  • Crusty Bread.
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 3 tablespoons of olive oil
  • A few parsley leaves for garnish
  • 1/1/2 cups of ice

Directions
  1. Add all of the ingredients into a large bowl and toss let stand while slicing the bread.
  2. Toss again, taste for seasoning, and correct at this time.
  3. Enjoy!

Perfect Michael! Is there anything better than a fresh tomato out of the garden?? I love this.
The vinegar mixed with the tomato juices? Wonderful.

My grandmother would make them this same way but not with the Ice. I will be using the ice from now on. High five my friend!!
