Simple Cinnamon Stewed Apples

This was always a side dish at my Grandmother's house. While raking her leaves or playing in the yard, the smell of this on the stove..AHH ..Great memories and one of my favorites. Pass on the potatoes, serve these! Read more Wonderful with Ham or Pork......or Ice cream! See less
Ingredients
- 6 Cups granny smith apples, peeled and chopped. (about 1 inch in size) shopping list
- 1/2 cup packed brown sugar shopping list
- 1/4 cup apple juice (or cider) shopping list
- Dash of lemon juice shopping list
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon shopping list
- 1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg shopping list
- 1/8 teaspoon salt shopping list
