Ingredients
  • 2 lbs lean ground beef
  • freshly picked:
  • carrots
  • celery
  • green sweet peppers
  • tomatoes
  • onions
  • chives
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • Cut veggies coarsely
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire Sauce
  • 3 tbsp Kikkoman reduced salt Soy sauce
  • 4 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp dried lemon zest or 1 tsp fresh

Directions
  1. This is a VERY versatile recipe.
  2. Got more of one veg than another?
  3. No problem.
  4. This dish is FUN to make, and FRUGAL--- so the amount of veg ingredients, I leave up to you!
  5. To the frying pan, add the oil, and the salt.
  6. Add the soy sauce and Worscstershire.
  7. Add the ground beef
  8. Add all the veg
  9. Stir well, then cover.
  10. On medium-low heat, cook until the meat juices are clear, and the veggies tender.
  11. This meal is delicious, and another dish I call 'comfort food'!
  12. Garnish with parsley sprig, and ENJOY! :+D
  13. SUGGESTIONS:
  14. Got something else you prefer to add? Corn? Potatoes? Whatever - GO FOR IT!

Great post, Chef! Simple, quick and frugal! This sure works for me. I'm glad you posted this recipe. Its definitely a Keeper! Any leftovers would be great to be added to any soup stock for the next day's meal! Thank you for the fun directions and the recipe!
