This is the cutest recipe I've ever seen! Its from Allrecipes.com ...I'm showing the recipe the way I made it.

Ingredients
  • 4 oz. cream cheese- softened
  • 1 can jumbo black pitted olives
  • 1/2 can medium pitted olives
  • 1 small jar roasted red peppers - whole
  • 1 carrot
  • 1/3 of a package of dry ranch salad dressing mix
  • toothpicks

Directions
  1. PREP WORK;
  2. Cut a slit from top to bottom of the jumbo olive - about 1/4" wide
  3. Slice the carrot into 1/4" thick rounds (for the feet) and cut a notch into eash slice (save this notch for the beak)
  4. Slice the roasted red peppers into long thin strips (for the scarfs)
  5. Insert the beaks into the medium olives where the mark is from being pitted
  6. Mix the cream cheese and dry ranch dressing together
  7. Put the cream cheese mixture into a pastry bag with a medium size tip in it
  8. Pipe the cream cheese into each jumbo olive and smooth it at the slit
  9. ASSEMBLY;
  10. Place the filled olive, hole side down. on the feet
  11. Place the head ontop next
  12. Put toothpick through entire penguin starting from the top of the head and go into the carrot feet
  13. Wrap scarf around neck
  14. Place on a platter and watch your guests be impressed!
  15. Big time party favorite!

Ooooo la la, these penguins are stylin'! The ones I used to make didn't have the scarf or the ranch mix, not as fancy as yours ;-) I bet kids at your party especially loved these.

I didn't know what you were talking about so I "searched ya Lillian!" and om-goodiness, these are the cutiest little guys I have ever seen. I think my kids would just fall over when they see mom made something like this. And all the ingredients are something they would eat......but not sure if I want them to eat something soo cute. Thanks Lillian, I saved the recipe and will be showing my kids, will diffently make this with them.
